Visit the famous South Luangwa NP and go on game and night drives. Continue the journey via Chipata to Livingstone. Explore the mighty Victoria Falls (also known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya, ‘The smoke that thunders’). Stop on the way to spend the night in Lusaka, before heading back to Lilongwe.

Day 1
Departure from Lilongwe towards the Luangwa Valley in Zambia. Lunch on route. Arrive at the tented camp at mid afternoon and spend time acclimatizing to the African Bush. We enjoy dinner overlooking the Luangwa River, watching elephants cross at dusk and listening to the sounds of the great outdoors. Relax over a drink before retiring for the evening.
Day 2 & 3
After early breakfast, go on a game drive in the South Luangwa National Park and search with our guide for elephants, zebra’s, giraffes, lion, leopard and much more. Enjoy the sights of the park before returning to camp for a well needed brunch. Take a refreshing swim in the pool before entering the national park once again. After a pre game drive snack, join the afternoon game drive/ night drive. This is a unique way to view the nocturnal activity of the park. Dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 4
After breakfast depart for Chipata. Stop on route at Tribal Textiles Workshop to see the beautiful fabrics made by the local craftsmen and artists. Lunch in Chipata and put up the tents at the Luangwa Bridge Campsite. Dinner will be prepared at the camp.
Day 5
After an early breakfast, departure towards Lusaka. Continue to Livingstone, stop briefly at the Choma museum and arrive in Livingstone in the late afternoon hours. Stay the night in Livingstone at a campsite along the mighty Zambezi River. Listen to the sound of the almighty Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The smoke that thunders”), also known as Victoria Falls on the background before falling asleep.
Day 6/7
Spend the whole day around the mighty Victoria Falls. The Falls are over a mile in length and over 5 million litres of water per second can flow over the falls during the rainy season. There is the choice to do some of the optional activities, like a canoe safari or white water rafting on the upper Zambezi, a flight in an airplane, helicopter, micro light or balloon over the falls, and the famous 111-meter bungee jump above the Zambezi River. The sunset cruise is a perfect way to end this day, drifting past hippo’s and elephants as the sun sets over the mighty Zambezi River.
Day 8
Spend the last morning in Livingstone and say goodbye to the Victoria Falls before the departure towards Lusaka. Arrival will be in the mid afternoon hours. Settle down at the campsite stopover for the night and enjoy dinner.
Day 9
Drive back over the rolling hills through fascinating African landscapes to Chipata and cross the border back into Malawi. Arrival in Lilongwe in the late afternoon.
