Enjoy the fabulous scenery, the waterfalls and lakes of the Zomba Plateau. Visit Malawi’s premier national parks, Majete NP and Liwonde NP, and spend time searching for elephant, black rhino, buffalo, greater kudu, waterbuck and much more! Join a boat safari on the Shire River seeing crocodiles, hippos, elephants, multitudes of birds and experience the diversity of life on the river. Explore the beautiful village of Cape Maclear. Here you can relax, meet the local community, barter for locally produced goods and soak up the atmosphere of African village life or explore the lake and all its wonders by swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling or kayaking to the exotic Treasure Island of Mumbo.

Day 1 (Monday)
Depart from Lilongwe and head to Majete National Park. Arrival at Majete will be late in the afternoon and after setting up camp enjoy your dinner in the middle of the Malawian bush. Elephants visit the camp on a regular basis, so be careful.
Day 2 (Tuesday)
Take an optional game drive in the early morning to spot elephant, buffalo, all kinds of antelope or the endangered black rhino. After the drive depart to Zomba Plateau. Stop by in Blantyre, the commercial and industrial capital of Malawi, and Zomba. Visit the colourful and busy markets to buy our fresh supplies for the next few days. Then head on to the plateau where we set up camp amongst the tall pine trees. Relax for the evening at camp or have a sun downer at the nearby beautiful Ku Chawe Inn. Dinner is served around the campfire.
Day 3 (Wednesday)
Spend the day on the Zomba Plateau, one of the most popular areas in Malawi for walking and hiking. Go for a hike to Chingwe’s Hole, a natural hole or see one of the many waterfalls and stunning viewpoints on the plateau.
Day 4 (Thursday)
After an early breakfast depart to Liwonde NP, the best game park in Malawi, stopping on the way at some superb local craft stables. After setting up camp we enjoy our lunch in the beautiful surroundings of Mvuu Campsite. Spend the rest of the day in camp or take an optional game drive and/or night drive. Enjoy dinner accompanied by the mysterious wildlife sounds of the national park.
Day 5 (Friday)
In the morning there is the option to go for a boat cruise. For the more adventurous join an early morning walking safari before departing to Cape Maclear. On arrival we set up our camp on the tropical white beaches of Lake Malawi and prepare lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing, swimming or snorkeling in the lake or visit the nearby islands in a local dugout canoe. Options also include joining a Kayak Africa Expedition to the exclusive treasure island of Mumbo where you will spend the evening before returning to camp the following day. For those remaining dinner will be served at the camp along the beach.
Day 6 (Saturday)
Spend the morning relaxing on the beach, and taking in the sights and sounds of the village. Breakfast and lunch will be served from the camp allowing you to make the most of your free day.
Day 7 (Sunday)
Return back to Lilongwe, stopping to barter for goods at a local craft market along the way. Arrive in Lilongwe in the afternoon.
