Stay at the beautiful Mvuu camp which is perfectly sited on the east bank of the Shire river and lies in a group of immense baobab trees. Warthogs graze the lawns by day, hippos by night, while elephants regularly come to drink on the bank opposite. The park contains impressive elephant and hippo populations, some of the other species which can be found are hyena, crocodile, sable antelope, waterbuck, impala, bushbuck and warthog. Liwonde is also excellent for birding, both in terms of numbers seen and in terms of rarities. Experience the feeling of a truly great African game reserve.
